The trauma team arrived within seconds.
Khloe was carefully lifted onto a stretcher.
She cried out as another sharp pain shot through her abdomen.
Dr. Robert Hayes walked beside her.
“Stay with me.”
“Your baby still has a strong heartbeat.”
“We’re going to do everything we can.”
The operating room doors closed behind them.
Marcus tried to follow.
A security officer stepped into his path.
“I’m sorry, sir.”
“Only authorized medical personnel.”
Marcus frowned.
“I’m her husband.”
The officer remained calm.
“And Dr. Hayes has instructed us to preserve the scene until law enforcement arrives.”
Back in the luxury suite, hospital security sealed the room.
A technician connected a tablet to the surveillance system.
The footage played on a large monitor.
There was no sound.
There didn’t need to be.
Everyone watched Isabella enter first.
She locked the suite door.
Khloe backed away.
She never raised a hand.
The video clearly showed Isabella shoving her once…
…then again.
Then came the kick.
Directly into Khloe’s side.
The timestamp left no room for argument.
Marcus arrived less than ten seconds later.
The recording captured him looking directly at his injured wife.
Instead of calling for help, he closed the door.
The security chief quietly stopped the video.
“I believe we’ve seen enough.”
Part 3: The Truth Comes Out
Several hours later, Robert stepped into the waiting room.
Marcus stood immediately.
“How is she?”
Robert looked at him steadily.
“Khloe is stable.”
“The baby is stable.”
“The placental injury was caught in time.”
Marcus exhaled with relief.
Robert’s expression did not change.
“Now we need to discuss something else.”
He placed a folder on the table.
Inside were printed still images from the surveillance footage.
“You told hospital staff your wife attacked Ms. Rossi.”
Marcus said nothing.
“You delayed emergency treatment.”
“You attempted to minimize a violent assault.”
Robert folded the folder closed.
“The police have the complete recording.”
